The Arctic is unique in terms of its environment, climate, biodiversity, abundant natural resources, and significant transportation potential. The development of Arctic shipping is strengthening connectivity between continents and creating new shipping and logistics routes. The sustainable economic development of the Arctic is an important contributor to global economic growth and energy security.
As part of the Competition of environmental and publicly beneficial projects, a Special Nomination has been established to support projects that promote knowledge about the Arctic and its importance for the sustainable development of the global economy and logistics, science, environmental protection, and international cooperation.
The Nomination aims to support educational, public outreach, science communication, and youth initiatives that help people understand the role of the Arctic in the modern world and engage young people in discussions about its responsible and sustainable development.
